Krishna and the Farmer’s Wish

The sun rises over the peaceful village. Birds sing, and the river sparkles in the morning light. In a small hut, a farmer wakes up early. He looks out at his fields and sighs. The crops are small and weak. He worries, “How will I feed my family?”

Krishan and Farmer

The farmer walks through the soft, green grass. He touches the leaves of his plants. “Grow strong, little ones,” he whispers. But the plants do not answer. The farmer feels sad and alone. He sits under a big banyan tree, his heart full of worry.

As the farmer sits quietly, he hears a soft giggle. He looks up and sees a boy with blue skin and a peacock feather in his hair. The boy smiles and plays a sweet tune on his flute. The air feels warm and happy.

“Who are you?” the farmer asks, surprised.

The boy laughs, “I am Krishna. Why are you so sad, dear farmer?”

The farmer tells Krishna about his poor crops and his hungry family. Krishna listens kindly, his eyes shining with care. “Do not worry,” Krishna says. “Let us see what kindness can do.”

Krishna stands up and twirls around the tree. He picks a bright flower and hands it to the farmer. “Plant this in your field and share your water with your neighbor. Kindness is magic,” Krishna says with a wink.

The farmer is puzzled but nods. He plants the flower in the middle of his field. Then, he fills his bucket and walks to his neighbor’s house. “Here is some water for your thirsty plants,” he says kindly.

The neighbor smiles and thanks him. The farmer feels a little lighter in his heart.

The next morning, the farmer wakes up to a sweet smell. He runs outside and gasps. His field is full of tall, green plants! The bright flower has spread its magic. The crops wave gently in the breeze, strong and healthy.

The farmer laughs with joy. He runs to tell his family. They dance and clap in the golden sunlight. The neighbor comes, too, and together they celebrate the wonderful harvest.

As the village celebrates, Krishna appears again, playing his flute. The farmer bows and says, “Thank you, Krishna!”

Krishna smiles, “Kindness is like a seed. When you share it, it grows and brings happiness to everyone.”

The farmer hugs his family and waves to Krishna. The village is filled with laughter and love. The river sparkles, and the fields are green. The farmer knows that kindness is the most magical gift of all.
