This is the short Christmas story. Once, there were two brothers named Joe and Phil and a sister, Gracey.
On Christmas Eve, Joe asked Gracey, “What do you want for Christmas?”
“A doll house,” Gracey replied.
Joe went to the toy shop. He asked, “How much does the doll house cost?”
“Ten pennies,” replied the shopkeeper.
Joe had only a penny, so he bought a candy instead. He put it in Gracey’s stocking.
Later, Phil checked Gracey’s stocking. He took the candy and ate it. But later, he felt bad. He decided to buy something for Gracey.
He had ten pennies. “What can I buy for ten pennies?” he asked the shopkeeper.
“You can buy this doll house,” the shopkeeper replied. So, Phil bought the doll house.
The next morning, Gracey was thrilled to find the doll house.
Everyone had a wonderful Christmas. But Joe always wondered how his candy had turned into a doll house.
