A small child annoyed his mother and shouted, “I hate you.” After that he ran away from home fearing to be reprimanded.
He went to the hills and started screaming, “I hate you, I hate you.” And the same voice echoed, “I hate you, I hate you.” He had heard the echo for the first time in his life.
He ran to the mother’s rescue in fear and said, there is a bad child in the valley who shouts, “I hate you, I hate you.”
His mother understood everything and asked her son to go up the hill and shout again, “I love you, I love you.”
The little child went there and shouted, “I love you, I love you.” And the same voice echoed.
And thus the child learned a lesson from this incident – our life is like an echo. We get back what we give.
